Dear MSNBC,

Just at which point did that guy’s skin color change from black to white? Obviously, it must have been some time before your clip started.

NEWSFLASH:

That man you showed wearing the assault rifle was NOT WHITE. He was a black man. Therefore, you are lying. Why is it that if someone is white and disagrees with something the president says or does, they are automatically labeled as a racist? In most cases it has nothing to do with that! In fact, I have yet to actually encounter someone who disagrees with him simply because he is (half) black. You are attempting to mislead the American people to get them to believe what you want them to believe, that only a white man would or could ever disagree with the president, that only a white man would, gasp, own a gun, and that all white people are, therefore, racist. YOU are the ones creating this “racial tension” and “undertones.” The average Joe does not feel this way. It is time for biased media to go the way of the buffalo. You will soon find that people are trusting, watching, and listening to you less and less as they turn for more reliable, more un-slanted reporting!

Signed,
someone who’s not an idiot.

So I’m sitting here watching the local news and had a pretty good laugh when they, oh, so very seriously, stated that over one million Facebook users are participating in a protest. This protest constitutes deleting their profile picture in favor of the default blank profile image. Their reason? They don’t like Facebook’s new layout. The newscaster then stated that “similar protests took place last year but Facebook’s creator ignored them all.”

Just… LOL

It’s not only laughable that this hit the “news” at all, but at how long it took. The “new” Facebook layout has been out for, what, four months or so now? It’s also laughable that there are people out there who actually think changing their profile picture is goinng to affect how Facebook is going to look.

Morons.

That was it! Not even a solution if you get this virus! Just that little report.

For a few seconds, I was Janice.

I hate the news. I’ve been yelling at the TV for the last half an hour now… (Hour and a half if you include CSI: NY.)

Because of one family, an arrogant panel of three judges in California have decided that it is unconstitutional for parents to homeschool their children. They have attempted to make it illegal, if the parent’s not a certified teacher. That’s for the younger children; for secondary school, a parent must be certified in all subjects.

This is a blatant theft of rights, transacted under the table, it is appalling. It does not take a village, people! It is not the government’s business if parents want to homeschool their kids or not. It is especially not their business concerning why the parents want to homeschool. It is not the governments business what curriculum we do or do not want our kids exposed to. Do not let them get away with this.

Everyone’s talking about him, why shouldn’t I? :P

By now the world (that has access to television, radio, and the internet) knows of Heath Ledger’s passing and I think that most of the people who know are surprised, though I wonder how many actually care.

Was he one of my favorites? Yes. Did I like all his movies? No. Did I see this coming? Yes. Am I surprised, though? Yes. Do I feel like he died too young? Yes. Is there a certain politician I’d love to trade him for? Yes.

The world, she still turns, and life goes on. He had all that money, the fame, and what to show for it? Just a beautiful daughter. He’s still dead. You can’t stop that, can’t buy your way out of that. Did he know that the combination of no sleep, sleeping pills, and (probably) pneumonia would cause him to go to sleep for the last time? Probably not. Was he surprised? I think so.

Just goes to show you, death is not only imminent, it is no respecter of persons. We all will die and unless you’re suicidal, we don’t know when that might be, it could be right around the corner. Make sure you have all your final arrangements in order, and I don’t just mean the funeral. Be prepared for that final exit.

Smith admitted severely beating of a 7-year-old boy he happened to see near a tunnel along Interstate 44 near Pacific.

The victim and his then 4-year-old brother were playing there, in May of 2006, when Smith walked up to them and started assaulting the older boy.

The 7-year-old was punched, then kicked repeatedly while laying on the ground. He was beaten so badly that both of his eyes were swollen shut by the time the young boys were able to make it home for help.

Police say Smith previously admitted to the beating, and said he had been drinking and taking prescription drugs before the attack.

It appears the attack was random.

What in the freaking heck!?!?
