Well to you I must tell you this little story.
I’ve been doing a website for a candidate for State Representative, he’s not in my district however. Anyway, I just checked the election results and he won by only THIRTEEN votes. That’s 13. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, and thirteen.
If 14 people had decided to stay in bed yesterday and not go vote, he would have lost.
Think about it.

Question: What do you think of the making available of sex offenders’ names and addresses to the public? I don’t know if they do this in every state, but they do in Missouri. Just wondering as I just came across the list for our county online. So comment, let me know what you think…

By the way, both of our Constitutional Amendments went the way we wanted. Yahoo!!!! :cool:

Now, let me begin my election experience with saying that I do not consider myself to be any one party. I look at the candidates and vote for the one I believe will do the job the best.
Since it was primaries, you have to pick a party to vote on. I usually go with Republican, because that’s where the pro-life people usually hang out, and party or no party, I am pro-life.
Anyway, this time I voted Democrat. Steve and I went in with Elijah and he was first, and he got Republican. I was next and said Democrat, he turned around as I headed to vote and gave me this look and laughed.
Then we’re standing there next to each other in our booths and Elijah is totally trying to take everything from mine, and Steve turns to me and whispers, “Hey, what do I put for Amendment #2 again?” lol. I just gave him this look because I thought he was joking, but he was serious. So I whispered, “yes.” Then he goes, “okay, what about #1?” I whispered back, “no.” We were leaving, Elijah got his “I voted” sticker and on the way out I said to Steve, “Man, I felt like I was cheating on a test.” Hehe. I guess technically it is like that, but the way I see it he got confused because he knew what he wanted to vote on them (and we agree) but you know how they word those things to confuse you. Also, I guess each person gets one vote and what they want to do with it is up to them – if you want to follow someone else, fine. (But don’t say I didn’t warn you if you get screwed.)
When we got outside, he asked me who I voted for and then said that when I requested my ticket he, “thought a lightning bolt was just going to come down beside me.” :lol:

Anyway, I voted D for three reasons:
1. I wanted to vote for this guy we both want for Sheriff that is the incumbant. He ran against the guy he won over last time, the old incumbant. This ‘newer’ guy is much better than the old, we like him (I don’t care if he is a Democrat) because he has been cracking down good on all the Meth labs in the county. We believe he’s a good sheriff. But all the ‘old’ people in this county are hard set to change and would have voted for the ‘older’ guy. (Having a hard time finding out if he won or lost… stupid county. But he probably won.)
2. I wanted to vote against our current governor. He’s :censored: – He lost. Actually come to find out, he’s the first incumbent to lose the primaries… yeah, that would be how much he sucks.
3. You have to be Democrat to get elected in this county and since I do consider myself nonpartisan, I don’t want to be known as a Republican. The way news flies, I don’t want people to have an unfair, pre-decided view of me for when I do decide to run. (I am still thinking about School Board this Spring.) Yes, this sounds what – evil? :evil: But I think it’s okay because like I said, I don’t really consider myself a part of any one party. I’ll decide on the issues myself, I don’t need some party telling me what to do.
