This is taking me forrrrrrrever to read. It’s just not as good as her other books in this series. I’ll finish it eventually but in the meantime I’m just having a hard time with it and it’s keeping me from reading anything else. I’m really not sure why I don’t like this as much so far? I really can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it’s because it’s being told by 3 people and so it sort of has this broken up feeling but then again, the Boleyn Inheritance was like that and I don’t remember it being this difficult to follow.
Later… It took me until about halfway through before it started to keep me interested and a little bit hooked. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, just, I guess not what I was into at the time.
However, after it all, I am ready to learn a little bit more about Mary Queen of Scots, Bess, and George Shrewsbury. They do all seem pretty interesting people.
