Good, but not as good as The Other Boleyn Girl (of course). Hard to, for me, get used to at first due to the switching back and forth between first and third person. Though I know that the author did not want to repeat the time period that was covered in The Other Boleyn Girl, I would have liked more in the book. Seems like she covered everything straight up through when Henry VIII left for war and the Scots invaded England and then skipped a lot, almost like she decided the book was too long and she’d better hurry up. I would have liked it better if the book had included more of that, up until Anne Boleyn “took over” and then some from when Katherine had been cast aside up until the time she died.
But with all that said – if you haven’t read The Other Boleyn Girl yet, do read this first! I think the whole series, for me, at least, would have been better if I’d had the opportunity to read them all in chronological order.
But, really, I did really enjoy this book!
