This book took me longer to read than average, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I didn’t devote a lot of time to it in the beginning.
This book is about a man on death row who has fired his lawyers. Suddenly, a grandson he hasn’t seen in over 20 years appears on the scene and becomes his lawyer, trying to get the death penalty rescinded. He’s a fresh, green lawyer, is he up to the challenge? Will he have a chance to get to know the grandfather’s he’s never known? He’s always suspected that his grandfather wasn’t fully guilty, can he prove someone else was involved?
It was pretty good, overall. I always like to read Grisham’s stuff, though I often don’t like the endings. I think this one ended well, like it should have, however some more closing information would have been nice.
Of course, there is more I could say, but I don’t want to give anything away! Read it for yourself! :)
