After first (and only) Patterson book I’ve read, I swore I’d never read another. With the short chapters and low reading level I really felt stupider for reading that. But this one fell into my lap and so I thought I’d give him another try. Nope, same crap. A friend told me that Patterson’s books are “meant for men” but, really, that’s no excuse. There are many, many intelligent men out there and they are probably just as annoyed at Patterson’s writing style as I. I think I’m going to stick with this one through the end, just because, he does seem to have some good story lines. I just really think that he needs to develop the books more. They seem to me to be written more for a TV or movie script, leaving out a lot of stuff you’d expect to find in a novel. Not to mention, as I think I said before, he writes his sex scenes very cliche… just like a man… Bleh.
