And you're right Owen - really it was an easy birth, and most likely I could've and probably should've just refused the epidural altogether and been just fine. Steve is still not quite entertained by the story, I think he's actually pretty angry that I was left alone like that even for that very very short amount of time. But I said that she wasn't hurt so I can see it as funny. And as a nurse said to me later, "you have a great story for her when she's older!" Not to mention, seeing the end result as somewhat funny is a great stress reliever, as I was seriously stressed out with the whole long epidural process. So I am also thankful that it was all over so quickly. I did have nurses tell me last week that everything I'd been through lately did mean that I deserved an easy labor and birth! Claire - thanks for sharing your info and lovely photo! It's encouraging to hear of others who were early and their stories have not ended there!
