I couldn't agree more. The link in the email is to a video on YouTube, and it has been there since September 2008. The beginning of the video says this segment aired (on American TV, not Canadian) on September 24, the day the video was posted. It has 4.5 million views and over 1,500 comments (as of 5/5/09) which were posted throughout the last seven months. It is plainly obvious that this video was posted seven months ago and has been continuously available for that entire period.

I constantly get conservative political emails and there seems to be a recurring theme: a persecution complex. Who are all these evil liberals who are censoring conservative opinions so they have to be passed around underground? It seems they are figments of someone’s imagination. This isn’t China, the government isn’t blocking YouTube from its citizens or selectively removing videos it doesn’t like (and neither is the “liberal media”, AKA boogeyman). This video and others like it are freely available to anyone who wants to see them. Where is the liberal conspiracy to suppress conservative opinions? These chain emails constantly complain about it, but who is perpetrating it? It seems no one is. This particular email cites fabricated evidence, and I’m sure others do as well.
