hmmm… what?
So I’m sitting here watching Everybody Loves Raymond and it’s Ray’s birthday and they’re eating cake.
And now I want cake.
I’ve been sitting here eating medium cheddar cheese on honey Ritz crackers. Awesome by the way. Sweeter than the original Ritz, I shall never buy original again!
And earlier I had some Lifesaver Gummies. And we all know about the Mike & Ike last night.
I never really had cravings when I was pregnant with E. About five months into it, though, I craved milk and drank it like crazy which really sucked since I am so lactose intolerant. I had a lot of those pills to help me digest it. Unfortunately this time around, I’m even worse and the pills aren’t doing much for me anymore. And this time around, apparently if I see it, I want it and I wants it now. Heh.
I’ve been craving Subway like crazy and have managed to get it quite a bit. Most of it’s been when me and E are out and about but I was able to talk Steve into it once last week. Steve doesn’t really care for Subway, so that was quite a feat. E kinda doesn’t, either, but I can easier boss him around! Also, I always get the same thing. Chicken & bacon ranch sandwich (no ranch) with shredded cheese and mayo and lettuce. Oh, speaking of, that’s what I had for lunch today! I guess it really could be worse, at least I get wheat bread. :P
I’ve also been wanting cheese a lot which goes along with my thoughts of a possible calcium problem on my part. So I’ve also been taking an additional 100% of calcium with vitamin D in addition to what I get in the prenatal vitamins. Low calcium is possibly the reason for the pain in my legs.
I guess the extent of my cravings is really at Subway and cheese right now, ha. And again, I guess it could be worse, but it’s weird since I didn’t experience this last time!
And speaking of pregzilla, if you don’t like TMI, then don’t continue!
One thing I hate about pregnancy is the fact that, apparently, every time I’m pregnant, it’s so hard to brush my teeth. I have the worst gag reflex. So it’s like brush, brush, brush as fast as I can and hope not to puke!
So this morning, Elijah and I are both at the bathroom sink brushing our teeth and I’m trying so hard but I was not successful and next thing you know, I’m puking into the sink. And I can’t stop. I just keep gagging and gagging. And it’s the first thing in the morning so there is absolutely NOTHING in my stomach and I’m just puking up some lovely acid. Oh, yes, I said “lovely.”
But what does Elijah do?
He bursts out laughing hilariously! It was almost his Ricky Ricardo laugh. He’s standing there with his toothbrush just cracking up. And I can’t do a dang thing about it. Finally I stop for a second, long enough to say, “it’s not funny!!”
And, of course, he says, “yes it is!”
Ugh. That crazy kid, I don’t get it. I mean I really don’t because the last time I was puking (oh and thank goodness, so far this has been basically the extent of my morning sickness, puke by toothbrush and some puke by sinuses a few weeks ago), he was in the other room and he just sat there. And I thought, oh great, he’s going to start crying like he used to. But as I finished up and left to lie down in the living room, he said to me calmly, “Mommy. Call the doctor. You have a baby in you.” Then he went back to eating! I don’t know what was going through his head exactly, but, what a silly kid.
