hmmm… what?
I’m sorry, I just find it really funny that Obama’s commercial sings that McCain doesn’t know what’s up with gas prices when his own solution is to inflate our tires and get more tune-ups to help with fuel mileage.
I’m just sayin’!
I’m already tired of all the political mud-slinging. For once, I’d like to see a commercial where a candidate says what they stand for instead of attempting to make their opponent look bad. They are ALL “the pot calling the kettle…” Well, I guess there is one Missouri-specific race in which I’ve seen one of the parties do things the proper way, but for the most part, the mud-slinging has begun!
And so have the surveys. I hung up on one the other day, the caller ID said literally 0000000000 and once she started in on me with a political survey (when she sounded like she wasn’t even in this freaking country), I hung up. They then proceeded to call me three more times at all hours of the day until I finally answered and went through the bloody survey.
I’m now waiting for the mailings to begin. Oh, wait, they have. Well, more fuel for the fire.
And now, let the mud-slinging begin on here… ’cause I know it’s bound to come now. Place nice, kiddos.

Obama was wrong. Inflating your tires properly can only account for at most 85% of the gas they’d get from opening more drilling. Still, it seems pretty outrageous to me to scoff at the savings from something we can do ourselves, and trust in the gas companies to do right and drill for us. I think it would be useful to save 3% on gas right now, rather than trusting we’ll see a break on gas prices in 20 years when the drilling has progressed to the point we’d see any oil from it.
Also, the extent of Obama’s energy plans are a bit more extensive than handing out air gauges. That would be a good start, though. ;)

Yeah I know :)
Though, filling up our tires won’t help us at all because Steve already makes sure our tires are at proper filling and he’s always up on tune-ups, etc. So no matter if it helps or not, we’re still at square one. :)
I just find the two-faced political attacks (on all sides, of course) both funny and annoying.
