Mommy & 'Liga So our Leap Day was pretty much uneventful. Had thing in the evening which was pretty fun. Some time with adults, haha. Men against the women and the women, of course, kicked butt.

Saturday morning, though, we all three woke up late and Steve and I both woke up not feeling well. But it was such a nice day outside, so after a couple of hours I suggested we just get out and, if nothing else, just drive around. We grabbed some lunch at the deli in the grocery store but were too hungry to wait to picnic so we just ate as we drove around, haha.

We ended up at that same old nature area and took a walk back to the Mississippi River lookout. We just stood around for a little while, soaking up the sunshine. Elijah had fun throwing sticks over the edge of the lookout and making letters out of sticks and just generally having fun with sticks.

We walked back then a bit ways down another walking trail a bit. This one went downhill, however, and on the way back up (though we didn’t go far) Elijah started crying, “Mommy help me, I need you to carry me!” Funny when considering that a year and a half ago that kid walked a 3 mile trail with me and Sarah and didn’t need to be carried until the last 50 feet, haha. I think he was just mad, this time, at Daddy, however, because Daddy told him to keep up with us, and not to get too far ahead, etc.

We drove around a bit more after that, through the county and what not, then headed home. Elijah and I spent the evening watching Secondhand Lions and Steve took his last deer’s head to the taxidermist. Boy, am I glad that stupid thing is out of my deep freezer!

Other than that, I’ve just wasted time.

I’m glad March is here. I’m hoping the weather will brighten up. I wish for a long spring before it gets hot. I just need a bit warmer weather to clear me of this stupid sinus infection. Of course, I go to the doctor on Monday. Not sure if I mentioned that already, but I think at least one ear is infected. I was hoping to go Friday but the doctor wasn’t in the office but for a little bit earlier in the day. The receptionist said if I was sick they’d take me but I said I’ve been dealing with this for a few weeks, I can wait a few more days, haha.

Um… I can’t believe it’s after midnight now. Maybe I slept too much last night, and probably it was the caffeine today but I’m not tired… everyone else, however, including the dog, is snoring away…
