Yesterday was another zoo day! I love our zoo, not only is it free, but it’s nice, and being made better all the time. This time around, though, we didn’t spend a lot of time there. We spent enough, but only a few hours in the humid heat before we had to head back south since we wanted to get a relaxing dinner before my 6:30 training meeting. But even for the short time, we had a great one. All the animals we saw were really accommodating this time, more active and some quite funny, rather than just lazing in the sun or hiding. Here’s a random video of just stuff.
The giraffes were being fed yellow leaves by some people who were copying what my sister-in-law did first. I only got photos of her, though, no video. Then the prairie dogs had just been fed and it was quite funny how they would just stand there, stiff as boards, eating their food and letting the birds peck it right out of their paws. The first prairie dog had just jumped out of a hole, put his arms in the air, and screeched. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Too bad he wouldn’t do a re-run for us. The chimpanzees then were hilarious as they walked back and forth like you first see, perfect in time. Then we have two clips from dinner. The first is E eating another lemon… he swore it was an orange. Then my niece eating some of her mac ‘n’ cheese followed by my kid doing some weird spit-up in his hand thing. Totally grossing us both out.
That’s kind of our day in a nutshell anyway, though here are some more pics:
This is where I talk about random things as well as what interests me: photography, digital scrapbooking, crochet, candle making, history, genealogy, videography, web designing, or whatever else I feel like! I'm also the mother of two, including a preemie, so you'll see updates on that end; finally, I am also a second generation homeschooler, that's bound to come up as well.
Today we have snow but last Friday was absolutely mahhh-velous out and we took advantage of it. Sarah and Erin were so kind as to model some crochet scarves and hand painted silk scarves for me in the park and we also did some pictures of Sarah and her furrbaby Harley. It was really a […]
