hmmm… what?
Maybe. I did get a paper back for district court and I have to call in this Friday evening to see what I’m supposed to do. From then I’m on call for a while. So, yeah, if I like, don’t exist for a while, that’s why. I’ve never done this before, hope I can figure it out…

Good luck with that! I’d hate to have to do jury service. Where I live, anyone over 18 can potentially be called up at any time, although I don’t know of anyone in my immediate family who has ever been called up.

My mother gets jury duty notices all the time (she’s gotten three this year), but they send her home every time. You’ll probably go into court all day, never be called, and get to go home. Bring a book. And they only pay like $25 for your time… so, yeah, that sucks. My grandfather used to get out of jury duty by saying he was a racist even though he wasn’t. He was also a real tough guy… I wouldn’t recommend that for you. LOL!

In my state, you can get excused from federal duty if you are the caretaker of a child under a certain age. So, read the fine print to see if you might be able to do that (if you want to get out of it, that is…)
