This is a very interesting entry. I don’t think I can dig up that much information like you did. LOL. How were you able to trace them anyway? I don’t know how census thing works. =/ bummer. I’m such an innocent kid, haha. But that would really fascinate me knowing what they do at that time.

I really enjoyed digging through the census records for my ancestors. Though sometimes they dont contain hardliy anything. Another great source is the Latter Day Saints genealogy library’s.

You can’t check anything out really, but they do let you use whatever they have on hand.

This was a really interesting entry. :) I’ve tried doing research about my family history but quite honestly I’m not even sure where to really start.

I know how different the times were back then, but hearing that they had to pay 12 dollars for their mortgage shocks me. I mean, it doesn’t really shock me but it’s just not something you’re used to hearing.. And it really amazes you just HOW different it was back then. I wonder how much a lower class would have paid?

That sucks she had to wait another year!
