Yes, my kid is the ultimate fan boy when it comes to several things, the biggest of which is anything vehicular: cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, tractors, trailers, trains, buses, trolly cars, tanks… you name it!

I’m not really sure where he got it, honestly. I guess that just goes to show you that everyone has their own personality. I mean, yes, Steve does like trucks like that, but we didn’t do anything to the kid to form his likes or dislikes, he chose on his own. And because we now know what he likes, that’s what we get for him.

We are thinking we’d like to go see Cars the Movie with him this coming June. It will be his first theater movie and we are only taking him because we think he’ll actually sit and watch an animated movie about his favorite things. Earlier this morning, I remembered something I printed for him the other day and we went in search of it. We ended up printing a few more and he wanted them all hung on his wall.

Here’s what is on the rest of his walls, only to further his fan-boy-ism with you. We have Dora the Explorer mostly, and a Go, Diego, Go! poster. He used to have some SpongeBob stickers, too, but he pulled those off and played with them until they wouldn’t stick anymore and I had to throw them away when he wasn’t looking.

In the second photo, the Dora poster is right over his bed. The stickers were once over his dresser, which is now on the other side of the room. There’s one other wall-hanging, another actual hanging a painting or print or something of a bear, that was mine when I was little. The one in the right of the last photo was mine when I was little, too. He used to have a big rainbow in his room that was also once mine… but, you know, rainbows aren’t for boys, are they?

Know what I made him this weekend?

Printed Yup, I printed him some of the tractor photos I took on Saturday. He was quite excited, he loves tractors. Those are really his favorites right now. He carried that paper around all day Sunday until he got to see the real thing. Then it wasn’t such a big deal. But now that we’re home and I printed him a sheet of the photos Steve took as well, he’s been carrying them around again… along with the picture of the kitty I printed him a few weeks ago.

Well, there you have it. My kid the fan-boy. Now all he needs are some Backyardigans, Spongebob Squarepants, and Veggie Tales and he’s got all his favorite shows! Oh, his ceiling? Stars that glow in the dark and christmas lights around the perimeter (he won’t sleep without those on, they work like a night light).

It’s fun having this little fan boy though, I always know what I can get him that will make him happy. :-)
