So today we went out for Steve’s birthday (which is actually this coming Tuesday). We dropped E off at my mom’s and besides some everyday, time-killing things such as going to Sam’s and a couple of other stores, we ended up at Casa Gallardo for an early supper. It was one of those places that as we passed the first time, I was thinking, “oh, please don’t let him choose there,” but in the end, he did, and it didn’t turn out to be so bad.

One thing that cracked us up though was when the waitress brought back the little folder that was supposed to contain our debit card and various receipts. Well, apparently she set down the wrong folder and then walked off really fast. I pulled it towards me and when I opened it, I could only stare. Strangely enough, I was looking at this pad of paper with orders written on it. It was only after a few seconds that I noticed the wad of money in there. A waiter walked by and I flagged him, “I think, uh, she gave us the wrong thing.” You should have seen his eyes, the way they bugged out of his head. He took it and got her after mentioning something about, you know, how lost she’d be without her $400 in tips. :-P

After all that, on the spur of the moment, Steve decided he wanted to go bowling. We ended up next to this couple who’d had more beer and cigarettes than I’m sure they needed, but they were nice. We finished out two games before they did, and they’d started first. You know, they had to stop and kiss between each turn. lol. We both sucked the first time around, I won 110 to 101, but then again, the second time wasn’t so great either, he beat me 158 to 133.

I got several strikes, though, so, you know, that was cool. :) I, however, blame my gutter balls on my crazy thumbs. They’re huge and they bend back flat. I’d take a picture, but, it would probably gross you all out. :P
